Lahore (Monitoring Desk) Pak Suzuki Motor Company stopped production due to an import ban. According to the 'ProPakistani news website, the company recently issued a statement saying that due to non-approval of the letter of credit (LC), the company is delaying production for another 5 days.
According to this notice, the production of the company will be closed from 22nd to 26th August. According to the announcement, the State Bank of Pakistan is delaying the approval of a letter of credit for the import of 'CKD', which prevents the construction of new cars.
According to the article, the corporation has said that the delivery of the vehicles may be delayed due to disruption in manufacturing. It may be noted that ever since the government banned the entry of luxury items, automakers are facing difficulties in importing products, especially CKD. Apart from Suzuki, Toyota is also forced to shut down its operations.
